James Nichols, MD, FACEP
Board Certified Emergency Medicine
Dr. Nichols joined ApolloMD in 2011. Since that time, he has held various leadership positions for the organization including Medical Director, System Director, and currently, Regional President. He has been a national consultant in operational excellence of Emergency Departments using LEAN techniques.
He was named Medical Director of the Year in 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., where he practices clinically. He was also named physician of the month for outstanding service and serves on the Board of Governors at St. Francis.
Dr. Nichols earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, Miss., and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Kentucky in Lexington and is certified in emergent use of ultrasound.
He is a member of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine, a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the Society of Chest Pain Centers.
