Marsh Cuttino, MD
Board Certified Emergency Medicine
Dr. Marsh Cuttino joined the ApolloMD Leadership team as a Regional President in 2018. In this role, he is responsible for contract management of 15 hospitals, emergency and hospitalist medicine physicians and APCs in the Richmond area. Dr. Cuttino serves as Chairman of Emergency Medicine for the Henrico Doctors’ Hospitals system, and medical director for three emergency departments, including a Level II Trauma Center. He has led the development and creation of the Pediatric Emergency Department and elevated the Henrico Doctors’ Forest Hospital to a Level II Trauma service. Dr. Cuttino has focused on process and quality improvement and has reduced door to greet times to average less than 10 minutes and sustained that for the last four years.
Dr. Cuttino is experienced in aerospace medicine, disaster, and mass casualty medicine. He attended medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University, as well as completed an internship in internal medicine. He then completed his residency in emergency medicine at the University of Florida Jacksonville in 1998. He was also founding faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University for the start of the emergency medicine residency.
An FAA Medical Examiner, he has provided past medical support for NASA Space Shuttle operations and continues to research microgravity medical issues with Orbital Medicine, Inc. Dr. Cuttino is the medical advisor to the Commercial Spaceflight Federation on the SARG advisory board. He also provides on track medical support for NASCAR as a member of the AMR Safety Team, operating from the Chase Car, where he is the initial responder to evaluate NASCAR drivers after accidents.
