CMO Arun Mohan, MD, MBA to Speak at HIMMS 9th Annual Georgia Healthcare Trade Faire & Regional Conference
October 14, 2014 – On Thursday, October 16, 2014 HIMMS Georgia Chapter will be holding its 9th annual Georgia Healthcare Trade Faire and Regional Conference.
Among the presentations will be a roundtable discussion on “New Models, New Mindset, New Machines. The impact of analytics on healthcare.” The panel, which includes clinical, analytic, IT, and policy experts, will examine all sides of the push toward using metrics reporting to improve quality outcomes as well as the use in predictive analytics in population health management. Arun Mohan, MD, MBA, ApolloMD’s CMO of Hospital Medicine will be offering the clinical perspective. The panel discussion will be held in Room C302 at 11:25 am.
Dr. Mohan joined ApolloMD as Chief Medical Officer, overseeing clinical operations of the Hospital Medicine division. An accomplished clinical researcher, Dr. Mohan has developed, implemented, and evaluated new models of care as well as technologies to improve patient and physician decision-making. Dr. Mohan received the 2011 Milton W. Hamolskey Award from the Society of General Internal Medicine for his work related to the effect of healthcare reform on hospital finances.
Dr. Mohan received his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine and his MBA from Emory University Goizueta Business School, where he was a Paul and Daisy Soros Fellow and received the Marion Luther Britain Award, the University’s highest student honor. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Cambridge Health Alliance and Harvard Medical School. An active member of organized medicine, Dr. Mohan was previously on the Board of the American Medical Association Foundation. Dr. Mohan has received numerous awards for his work including being named one of Georgia’s “Top 40 Under 40” by Georgia Trend Magazine.
