ApolloMD Chief Medical Officer Arun Mohan to Speak at SHM on Reducing Length of Stay

February 27, 2014 – ApolloMD is proud to announce that Arun Mohan, MD, MBA, Chief Medical Officer for Hospital Medicine, will be presenting at the Society of Hospital Medicine’s Annual Meeting in Las Vegas next month.

The presentation, “Interventions to Reduce Length of Stay in Hospitalized Patients,” confronts a major challenge facing hospitals:  How do physicians reduce length of stay while also ensuring patient safety, positive outcomes, and preventing readmissions?  The lecture will be delivered along with Eric Howell, MD, President of SHM.  Drs. Mohan and Howell will be speaking at 4:15pm on Wednesday, March 26.

“Given ongoing changes in healthcare, hospitals are looking to hospitalists to further drive down length of stay. Dr. Howell and I will be describing interventions that work and key principles that hospitalists need keep in mind.”
