ApolloMD Sponsors Nash Health Care Patrons Gala in Support of Pediatric Emergency Care
January 28, 2013 – Nash General Hospital held a Patrons Gala in order to raise funds for their planned Pediatric Emergency Care Center, and ApolloMD was proud to act as a sponsor of this great cause. Since partnering with Nash in 2004, ApolloMD has worked closely with the hospital to provide top patient care to citizens of Rocky Mount, North Carolina and surrounding communities, and we look forward to providing dedicated pediatric emergency care in years to come.
Currently, twenty percent of Nash’s emergency patients are under the age of 17. With this large pediatric population, the hospital is seeking to offer a more comfortable and enjoyable experience for these patients and their families. The center will offer a family-friendly experience from the moment of arrival to disposition. The separate entrance will open to a child-focused waiting room, and the triage area and 10 dedicated pediatric exam rooms will include radiology and imaging services designed specifically for children and teenagers.
The official groundbreaking for the new emergency department was held in March of 2012, and the facility is planned to open in 2014. Click here to learn more about Nash General Hospital and their dedication to patient care.
