ApolloMD Welcomes Arun Mohan as Chief Medical Officer, Hospital Medicine
January 16, 2014 – ApolloMD is thrilled to welcome Arun Mohan, MD, MBA to its leadership team as Chief Medical Officer of Hospital Medicine effective February 2014.
As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Mohan will collaborate with members of ApolloMD’s clinical operations team to optimize the provision of Hospital Medicine. He will have the overall responsibility for providing leadership, direction and administration of medical management, as well as the integration, coordination, and improvement of clinical care for hospitalist services at ApolloMD client facilities.
Prior to joining ApolloMD, Dr. Mohan was the Medical Director of Care Coordination at Emory University Hospital where he provided clinical leadership for social services and utilization review at a 587-bed, tertiary care academic medical center. Dr. Mohan has proven to be skilled in understanding challenges and opportunities, identifying key stakeholders, and managing teams to deliver cost-effective, creative solutions.

Dr. Mohan received his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in 2007, as well as his MBA from Emory University Goizueta Buisness School in 2006. He has served as Associate Vice Chair for Information Technology in the Department of Medicine for Emory Healthcare. Dr. Mohan has been named one of Georgia’s “Top 40 Under 40” by Georgia Trend Magazine.
