June 6, 2013 – ApolloMD, leading provider of multispecialty physician services, announced today that Michael Dolister, MD has been named Chief Executive Officer.  Christopher Krubert, former CEO, will remain on the company’s board, where he will stay closely involved, continuing to provide operational knowledge and support.

Dr. Dolister has led ApolloMD’s clinical operations team for the past 5 years, most recently as President of the organization.  He has spoken nationally on topics including emergency department efficiency and patient satisfaction excellence and has also worked as a consultant for the Baptist Leadership Group.  For the last 10 years, Dr. Dolister has served as the Medical Director of Emergency Services at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, where he was a key member of the medical leadership team that helped Baptist Hospital, Inc. to become the recipient of the 2003 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.

Dr. Dolister received his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin and completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.  Dr. Dolister has been a member of the Baptist Hospital’s Performance Review Committee since 1999, served as Baptist Hospital Department Chief of Emergency Medicine, Chairman of the Medical Board, and Associate Medical Director of Baptist Hospital, Inc.
