Revenue cycle management plays a pivotal role in the strength and survivability of an organization. Management begins when a patient makes an appointment and continues until final payments register. It sounds straightforward, but the health care industry constantly presents challenges for this process, including the transition from fee-for-service to value-based care.
As hospitals and health care practices grapple with ongoing staffing challenges, key factors and offerings can help leaders decide whether to manage key clinical services in-house or outsource to a trusted partner.
As ApolloMD continues expansion of our hospital medicine service line, we also announce the appointment of two hospital medicine leaders collaborating on the management and support of our teams. Dr. John Sullivan, Chief Medical Officer, and Dr. Ashley Varner, National Medical Director of Hospital Medicine, assume these new roles, combining their experience and expertise into a dynamic partnership for serving ApolloMD hospitalists.
The last couple of years presented challenges for everyone, spotlighting strengths and teaching us valuable lessons about personal and professional growth. At ApolloMD, we focus on building support systems to enhance the wellness, safety, and research opportunities for our clinicians as well as for all those in the industry. In alignment with that focus, we expanded our outreach efforts by donating funds to nonprofits championing these areas -- Dr. Lorna Breen Heroes’ Foundation, the Emergency Medicine Foundation, and the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine Foundation --mirroring our vision statement: “Healthy Clinicians. Healthy Patients. Healthy Communities.”
The 2022 report marks the 10th anniversary of the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade assessment, and ApolloMD applauds our hospital partners earning the A-level score for excellence in patient safety.
The 2022 ApolloMD Leadership Conference held an awards ceremony where we recognized the dedication and excellence of various clinicians. These team members are applauded by their colleagues as they receive accolades such as Medical Director of the Year and Lead APC of the Year.
For years, ApolloMD has pursued a strategy of participating with any insurance plan willing to pay fair and reasonable rates for the care provided by our clinicians. We recognize the importance of stable and reliable reimbursement and have proactively moved toward establishing the in-network relationships to support that balance.
