Eric Swartz joined ApolloMD in 2017 as Corporate Counsel. In his current role, Mr.
Swartz leads the managed care department, handling payor relations, managed
care contracting, and complex reimbursement issues. He also provides counsel to
the ApolloMD executive team on legal matters including payor disputes and
litigation as well as revenue cycle operations and regulatory compliance.
Prior to joining ApolloMD, Mr. Swartz spent more than nine years in private practice
in Atlanta with a local boutique firm and later with a large national multipractice
firm. In that time, he gained experience in a host of legal matters including health
care litigation and regulatory law, complex commercial disputes, insurance
coverage issues and employment and real estate matters. Mr. Swartz has
represented health care providers and insurers, as well as numerous other
businesses and individuals in litigation and administrative proceedings before state
and federal government agencies. After leaving private practice, he served as
Senior Counsel for one the nation’s largest hospital operators, providing legal
guidance on litigation, collections, operations and regulatory matters, and directing
a team of legal professionals to resolve payor disputes and verify compliance with
state and federal regulations governing health care providers.
Mr. Swartz earned his Juris Doctorate from Emory University School of Law and a
