Since 2014, Atrium Health Polk Medical Center has been serving all of Polk County’s residents including the nearby cities of Aragon, Cedartown, Rockmart and Taylorsville. The 25-bed critical-access hospital sees 20,000 patients annually. It houses a 13-bed emergency department, including two trauma rooms, imaging services, a fully-functioning laboratory, a surgery wing with two operating rooms and a helipad for emergency transportation.

Cedartown offers a variety of outdoor activities including the Big Spring, Silver Comet Trail, running 61 miles through Polk, Paulding and Cobb Counties and the Pinhoti Trail a 300 plus-mile long distance hiking trail.
