Sunil Pandya, M.D., Named National Medical Director for Transitional Care
March 31, 2016 – ApolloMD is pleased to announce Sunil Pandya, M.D., as National Medical Director for Transitional Care. Dr. Pandya has nearly 15 years of experience in post-acute care and will lead ApolloMD’s efforts to develop high quality post-acute care practices in the communities it serves.
“Building our post-acute footprint will be a key strategy for creating value for both patients and our hospital partners,” said Arun Mohan, M.D., President and Chief Medical Officer for Hospital Medicine and Population Health. “Dr. Pandya has a wealth of knowledge in both hospital-based and post-acute medicine and will help us build an industry-leading model.”
As National Medical Director for Transitional Care, Dr. Pandya will lead the development of programs across the country, which will improve the quality of care provided at post-acute facilities and ensure that care is well-coordinated.
Dr. Pandya earned his bachelor’s degree from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, N.J., and his medical degree from New Jersey Medical School in Newark. He completed his residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at Jackson Memorial Hospital – University of Miami in Florida, and is board certified in internal medicine and pediatrics.
