Erlanger Baroness serves as the headquarters for the entire Erlanger Health System, and is a non-profit, academic teaching center associated with the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. Located east of downtown Chattanooga, Erlanger is the only provider of tertiary care services for the residents of an entire four-state region, including southeast Tennessee, north Georgia, north Alabama, and western North Carolina.
