American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA)
The American Academy of Physician Associates is the national professional society for physician associates (PA), representing more than 123,000 PAs across all medical and surgical specialties in the United States and all U.S. territories.
AAPA’s mission is to lead the profession and empower the members to advance their careers and enhance patient health. The society advocates and educates on behalf of the profession and the patients PAs serve. AAPA commits to four main values: leadership and service, unity and teamwork, accountability and transparency and excellence and equity. The society works to develop professional growth, overall hospital excellence and recognition of PAs who work there. AAPA also enhances their ability to improve the quality, accessibility and cost-effectiveness of patient-centered healthcare.
