Dany Accilien, MD, MBA

Chief Medical Officer, RelyMD; VP, AI and Innovation; Administrative Fellowship Director

Dr. Dany Accilien joined ApolloMD in 2021 as one of the organization’s first Administrative Fellows. He has since held progressive leadership roles including Medical Director of RelyMD, Chief Medical Officer of RelyMD, and currently Vice President of AI and Innovation. He also serves as faculty for the Wellstar Kennestone Emergency Medicine Residency Program, and Director of ApolloMD’s Administrative Fellowship Program.

Dr. Accilien earned his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Miami in Miami, Florida, and his medical degree from Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. He completed his Emergency Medicine residency at the University of Chicago and obtained his Executive MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.
Dr. Accilien began working in the artificial intelligence space in 2020, initially focusing on Bayesian analytics for clinical decision-making, risk stratification, and diagnostic support. He has since led AI tool development, from concept through production, with particular emphasis on virtual health, clinical process improvement, and healthcare operations. In his current role, he helps guide AI governance, strategy, and deployment across ApolloMD and RelyMD, ensuring that emerging technologies translate into measurable improvements in clinical quality and operational efficiency.
At his core, Dany loves building. Whether developing residents and fellows into future leaders, designing operational systems that bring simplicity to complexity, or guiding AI tools from early concept to clinical deployment, he finds purpose in creating something meaningful that outlasts the effort itself.
Dr. Accilien is board-certified in Emergency Medicine and Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
