Yogin Patel, MD, MBA, FACEP

Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Yogin Patel serves our health system partners and guides our practices in the collective mission to provide compassionate patient care, drive clinician excellence, and deliver the highest quality outcomes. Dr. Patel joined ApolloMD in 2007 as an Emergency Physician in Atlanta, GA and as many of our leaders has worked his way through the organization. He has dedicated his career to leading ApolloMD into one of the nation’s premier private multi-disciplinary clinician groups. As Chief Executive Officer, he oversees all clinical and business operations for our 2,500+ clinicians and 400+ company employees proudly serving over 4 million patients annually.

Dr. Patel works closely with our teams to create strong, performance-based, patient-centric, practices that are intentionally aligned with our health systems and communities. As a servant leader, he serves as a conduit for our hospital and clinician clients to deliver insights on patient engagement, process improvement, risk management, and innovative healthcare technologies. He is actively involved with mentoring our physician leaders, in developing strategic partnerships, and in company growth, as we push to innovate and revolutionize healthcare delivery across the country. In addition to his leadership role, Dr. Patel is a proud practicing Emergency Physician serving communities throughout the country.

Prior to joining ApolloMD, he completed his undergraduate and graduate work at Duke University. Dr. Patel received his BS with Concentration in Neuroscience from Duke in 1999. He also completed his MD, and his MBA focused on Health Sector Management at Duke in 2004. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Oregon Health Sciences University where he was inducted into AOA and served as Chief Resident in Emergency Medicine. He previously also served on the Board of the Emergency Medicine Resident’s Association and currently serves on the Board of the Emergency Medicine Foundation.
