Post-Graduate APC Program – Emergency Medicine

The ApolloMD Post Graduate APC Program is an innovative specialty driven training program for Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners. The comprehensive training program is comprised of 9 months of ED rotations (which includes both clinical and didactic training) along with a commitment of 15-months working FT post rotations.

  • Monthly Patient Case Presentations
  • Monthly Virtual Lectures and Webinars via the Monthly Morsel, Critical Care Series & Didactic Program (up to 3+ sessions per month)
  • Online Curriculum via the Emergency Medicine Core Training Program (Eligible for up to 156 hours of CME upon completion).
  • Clinical Enrichment Series (Simulation Labs & Procedure Clinics)

Prerequisites for Program:

  • Graduate (or soon to be) of an accredited PA program or ANCC/AANP accredited FNP program
  • Professional Letters of Support/Recommendation
  • Pre-PA/NP Program work in or around emergency medicine preferred (Nurse, tech, paramedic/EMT, etc.).

    Postgraduate program providers complete their rotations at four ED’s in central NC. Most providers will rotate at Novant Clemmons/Kernersville/Thomasville (all greater Winston Salem NC region), and Hugh Chatham Memorial (Elkin, NC). Providers can discuss potentially adding additional sites to their rotation schedule if interested. Winston Salem and Elkin NC are about 45 minutes apart. Winston is known for its vibrant city center with access to great restaurants, shows, museums, an international airport 30 min away, countless greenway trails to explore and easy access to Charlotte, Raleigh, etc. Elkin NC is known for its nature. Enjoy afternoons on the Yadkin River or explore countless hiking/mountain biking trails nearby!
